Introduction

The Manfrotto MK290LTA3-BHUS 290 Light Aluminum Tripod with Ball Head can hold up to 8.8 lb and extends from 16.4 to 56.7″ high. It weighs 3.6 lb and folds down to 22.2″ for travel. The 3-section legs have two angle positions, and they employ tension-adjustable leg locks to adjust the tripod’s height. A rubber grip on one of the legs adds comfort when carrying the tripod.

Included with the tripod is the 494 Mini Ball Head with an RC2 quick release plate. The lightweight head has a friction control knob that allows micro adjustments without engaging the head-locking mechanism, and a large knob that locks both the 90 tilt and the 360 panning.
